What a Ride

What a Ride

Today, Einride rang the bell at Nasdaq in New York.

First and foremost, congratulations to the entire Einride team. WHAT an achievement.

When we first invested in 2019, electrification was far from obvious, and Einride's vision felt almost scarily ambitious. They set out to redesign road freight from the ground up with autonomous and electric trucks, intelligent charging infrastructure, and software that tied everything together into a single platform. The necessary opposite of the 'startup focus' that the world praised back then.

It was never easy. It used to say "Born autonomous. Born electric." on Einride's website. I would add: "Born stubborn."

Today, Einride is operating across Europe, the US, and the Middle East, powering freight for companies such as PepsiCo, Heineken, Mars, Lidl, Philips, and DP World.

To me, today’s listing is a reminder that some of the best opportunities are found when things start to feel uncomfortable, uncertain, or even (more than) a little scary.

Now for some thank-yous.

Robert Falck – you are probably the most resilient person I've ever met. You have a very rare ability to keep executing without ever compromising on the vision. Keeping it together, knocking things off your list, no matter what. Bam bam bam. I'm incredibly impressed by you.

Linnéa Kornehed Falck – the way you have brought storytelling and design into both the leadership team and the boardroom has redefined startup marketing. A true inspiration. I wish more startups would follow your playbook.

Filip Lilja – I'm so glad you helped set this journey in motion together with the rest of the team.

Roozbeh Charli – I don't know anyone who can context-switch like you while remaining so calm. World-class. Einride would not be where it is today without you.

Anders Böös – you were an exceptional Chair of Einride. At times, your inner Yoda would emerge, and you became an invaluable mentor. I've learned a great deal from you.

And a huge thank you to Lorne Abony, Marek Kiisa, Henrik Landgren, Christian Landgren and Indra Sharma.

This has been a privilege. I'm proud to have been part of the journey.
